EyeCandy Lash & Skin
Eyelash extensions are synthetic hairs that are safely applied to the natural lash to create a fuller, longer, darker appearance. Extensions come in various lengths, colors and thicknesses to custom fit your eye shape. Lashes are a convenient alternative to the daily use of clumpy, damaging mascara. Unlike strip lashes that you apply daily, extensions can be worn 24 hours a day with minimal maintenance. All lashing done at EyeCandy is Volume lashing. This is a process in which the lash artist creates a small fan out of very fine extensions. Each fan is custom made by the artist to suit your desires as far as fullness & length goes. This is a very safe and effective method of lashing which ensures no damage to the natural lash, as well as giving you exactly the look you desire.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are eyelash extensions? Eyelash Extensions are individual fine strands of synthetic fibers custom made into a volume fan. When applied, eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural eyelashes. The volume fans are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one. With proper application, lash extensions look and feel completely natural.
How long will a set of extensions last? When applied by one of our highly trained lash artists, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on your activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 4 weeks.
Are EyeCandy lashes safe? EyeCandy only uses professional grade adhesive which never comes in contact with your skin. Synthetic eyelashes adhere about 1mm away from your lid line. Keeping them separated and clean allows for zero damage to your natural lash.
Can I apply mascara to extensions? Our eyelash extensions are designed to give your natural lashes an improved look of fullness so mascara is not needed. However, you may apply mascara to your bottom lashes using an oil free-non waterproof mascara that comes off easily.
Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions? We do ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 12-24 hours of wear. After that 24-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas or certain facials is recommended since it can begin to loosen the bond. We also recommend not putting your face directly into a stream of hot or forceful water in the shower.
How soon can I wash my face after the extensions are applied? The suggested time is a minimum of 12 hours after your extensions are applied being careful not to soak the lash area. We recommend oil free cleansing wipes for the eye area which we sell here at EyeCandy.
How do I dry my eyelash extensions? After carefully and gently cleansing, gently dab your extensions from underneath with a towel. Wait until they completely dry on their own and then brush your extensions with a disposable lash brush that we will provide you, in an upward motion being careful not to tug on the extension.
How do I take care of my new eyelash extensions? Avoid getting lashes wet for the first 12-24 hours Avoid hot steam or sauna Use oil free eye makeup removal cleansing wipes to remove any eye makeup. We sell them here at EyeCandy. Do not perm eyelashes or manually curl. Brush with a clean mascara wand daily always brush in an upward motion very gently to separate lashes. Use our Candy Clean lash shampoo 3x weekly to ensure clean extensions
Will this damage my natural lashes? No, not when applied correctly by a reputable salon with a properly trained staff. You have a natural shedding cycle and your lashes and the extensions will fall out during that cycle and a new lash will grow in its place.
How long will it take to apply eyelash extensions and how is it done? The application process for lash extensions take anywhere from 60-180 minutes for a full set of lashes depending on which set your choose, and 45-180 minutes for a refill. You will lay comfortably on a reclining chair with your eyes closed while relaxing music is played in the background. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.
How do I choose the look I want? Your technician will consult with you to understand what type of style you are interested in and what look will work best with your natural lashes. The overall look of the lashes can range from very natural to very voluminous!
Do I have to do anything to prepare for the service? Please show up for your appointment on time so as maximize your service time. Do not come to your appointment with eye makeup on. To remove any eye makeup, use oil free remover to avoid any residual oil on your lashes that might interfere with the adhesion.
What happens if I choose to have my eyelash extensions removed? We do offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short thirty-minute appointment in which we apply a gel remover. The gel remover is applied on top of the extensions without touching the skin and allowed to sit for 10 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes.
Can I get a refund if I don't like the extensions? Applying a set of lashes is very time consuming. Our lash artists work very hard to give you the exact set you desire which is why we consult with you prior to applying any lashes. Unfortunately, we do not offer cash or credit refunds if you are unhappy with your lashes, however we will work with you to try to rectify the issues you may be having.
What if I have to cancel my appointment? We ask that you give us 24 hour notice if you are unable to keep your lash appointments. If you do not call or you call the day of we do charge a “no show” fee. A full set no show fee is $150 and a fill no show fee is $75. We are very understanding when it comes to cancellations but please keep in mind that your lash artist then has a gap that can’t be filled.
